Gardening Club
The Gardening club is open to all students. Gardening Club is held every Tuesday at lunchtime. All students are welcome. Students can opt to attend once or as often as they like. Gardens around the school, including the vegetable garden are developed and maintained by students in the gardening club. Produce from the vegetable garden is donated to the canteen, used for cooking within the school program, taken home by gardening club members or sold to parents at morning lines.
Getting to Know You Interviews
At the beginning of each school year we hold ‘Getting to Know You Interviews’. These interviews are designed for parents and carers to share information about their child’s interests, strengths and areas of need; as well as any relevant family information. We encourage all parents and carers to take the time to fill in the questionnaire before the interview and make a time to meet with their child’s teacher. Teachers find these interviews invaluable in developing relationships with families and providing information to help establish the best possible learning opportunities for each child.
Grandfriends Day
Each year our students invite grandparents and other visitors to the school for a special celebration, book fair and to join them for lunch or morning tea at The Jolly Rogers Café. This is a time to visit classrooms, celebrate students’ work and enjoy a day at school.
