English as an Additional Language or Dialect
Our English as an Additional Language or Dialect teacher supports students whose home language is not English. This support may be within the class or in a withdrawal situation to best meet the individual needs of students.
Enrolment
Enrolment of students may be taken at any time with the following provisions:
Students living in Melba, Spence and Flynn - immediately
Out-of-area students - subject to a suitable place being available, after an interview with the Principal
Excursions
Students at Mount Rogers Primary School have access to a variety of high quality cultural experiences. Excursions are always related to the curriculum and add to the level of understanding children will develop about the topic they are studying. Where possible staff organise an excursion or incursion each term to enhance the integrated learning program. To be eligible to attend excursions students must return permission notes and money by the due date. No late notes are accepted. Students are expected to wear school uniform on school excursions, unless notified in writing otherwise.
The school endeavours to give ample time for payments and offers a variety of payment options.
